Training the Versatile Ranch Horse 1-4 (4 CD Set)~Ranch Riding - Volume 1. Join Van as he demonstrates in-depth the fundamentals of Ranch Riding, forward movement, manipulation of forward movement and stopping. Emphasis is put on the three gates: Walk, Trot and Lope as well as the smoothness of transitions. Introducing Lateral movement and how it relates to obtaining correct lead departures, collections and cadence.
Ranch Trail - 2. Ranch Trail introduces the concept of fear, trust and confidence. As a ranch horse encounters numerous obstacles through his life, he should respond carefully, alertly and willingly. Van demonstrates how to introduce a young horse to many common tasks in a ranch setting, including logging and dragging, hobbling, introducing a rope and opening gates.
Ranch Cutting - 3. A Ranch horse should show desire, willingness and the ability to work cattle. Ranch Cutting introduces the skills needed for cattle work including sorting, cutting, driving and penning a cow as well as reading cattle.
