Professionals Choice 101~
" This bit is very mild but effective. It is usually the second bit I put on a horse after the snaffle, and is sometimes the last. This bit can be used for any discipline from reining to roping to pleasure "
- Bob Avila -
The correction bit is one of the most universal bits and is also very mild. The four moving parts allow the horse to respond to subtle rein pressure, which greatly reduces heavy rein handling. A rider can choose to affect only one side with the correction bit. This bit can be used in any western discipline throughout a horse's career~~Professionals Choice 101|437|~1180~1282~~
Professionals Choice 103~"
This bit is a favorite of mine. I use it on many of the older, more experienced horses in my program. It can be used on every kind of horse such as pleasure, trail, cutting, reining and rope horses and everything in between
" - Bob Avila -
This medium port bit works on the lower bars of the horse's mouth and offers a soft, effective approach to working a horse. The port offers tongue relief and freedom for a horse to swallow comfortably. The copper inlay mouthpiece encourages salivation, enhancing the horse's sensitivity to the bit and keeps the mouth soft. Designed for any discipline and level of horse.~~Professionals Choice 103|438|~1180~1284~~
Professionals Choice 105~Avila Signature Bit. -
The mild mouthpiece and short shank in the Avila Straight Roller make this a very gentle bit. The sweet iron mouthpiece with copper roller is curved just slightly to offer tongue relief for the horse's comfort.~~Professionals Choice 105|439|~1180~1286~~
Professionals Choice 106~Avila Signature Bit -
This is a basic correction with a slightly higher port than most correction bits. The higher port offers more control for horses that pull on the bit. The silver shank makes a very nice show bit for any western discipline.<~~Professionals Choice 106|440|~1180~1288~~
Professionals Choice 107~Bob Avila Silver Shank Medium Port. This is a great feeling bit in a horse’s mouth. It works well for younger horses once they’ve been seasoned in a smaller bridle for a while and also works well on a lot of older horses. The mouthpiece is thicker than most, which the horses seem to like and the loose shank has a lot of lateral give to it. The port offers a great deal of tongue relief, making the horse very comfortable. This is a really good all around bit.~~Professionals Choice 107|947|~1180~2837~~
Professionals Choice 108~Another variation of the Avila Correction Bit that is great for use on everything from a young colt starting in the bridle to older finished show horses. The shank offers somewhat of a different ‘feel’ than others and has a stylish look to it.~~Professionals Choice 108|962|~1180~2855~~
Professionals Choice 112~The Swivel Mouthpiece Bit can be used on both young and older horses. It offers a lot of tongue relief and pulls from each side separately, making it a great transition from a snaffle to a leverage bit. It will help older horses that may be stiff and pull against the bridle and will break a stiff horse loose because they can’t gain leverage on the bit.~~Professionals Choice 112|1018|~1180~2950~~
Professionals Choice 113~This bit works well on many different horses. It has a mild leverage shank and the big correction offers the horse lots of tongue relief. The barrel rollers make the bit slower to engage and do not intimidate a horse.~~Professionals Choice 113|963|~1180~2857~~
